If in Doubt, Smudge.

Art class tonight was a challenge. I am continuing to work on oil painting of a harness horse. However the wheels on the cart and the driver both have proven to be the issue tonight. I am not a portrait painter, at least not at this

point. So who knows, I may have to blur the area a little, to make it work. If in doubt, smudge. This is often a solution for painters if there is a concern. So I will continue to think about this dilemma and take a look at the painting tomorrow. Fresh eyes always help the artist see the mistakes more clearly. Hopefully with more time, thought, and work the painting will fall into place even though it is very frustrating right now. All in all, problems are a good thing. They do allow for growth and a pathway to improvement.
